CALIBRATION PLAN A

Performance Check (Min-Mid-Max) 5 times.

  • This consists of checking your pipettes at its min, middle & maximum volume for 5 times.
  • A report is printed out detailing inaccuracy & imprecision of each volume range tested.
  • This is suitable for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)/ Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) where higher level of confidence is required for routine purpose.

CALIBRATION PLAN B

Performance Check (Min-Mid-Max) 10 times.

  • This consists of checking your pipettes at its min, middle & maximum volume for 10 times.
  • A report is printed out detailing inaccuracy & imprecision of each volume range tested.
  • This is suitable for GLP/GMP where much higher level as per ISO 8655 Specifies this level of calibration.

CALIBRATION PLAN C

Biosystem is one of the Company in whole western region who can offer level of calibration in accordance with ISO/ 17025(NABL) in this plan along with the normal range calibration you will get “Expanded uncertainty of measurement” can be offered for each volume calibrated. This is the highest level of calibration available in India.

FAQ’S

What does Calibration of Micropipette mean?

Calibration is a procedure that must be performed at frequent intervals. It is performed to evaluate if there are any errors or uncertainties caused by the measuring instruments. It helps to ensure how accurate and precise is a micropipette.

How often should a Micropipette be Calibrated?

Calibration of a Micropipette depends upon the usage of the Micropipette. But, it is recommended that at least once in a year Micropipettes should be Calibrated.

What are some common errors in Micropipette Calibration?
Some common errors that occur in Micropipette Calibration are improper technique or handling, variations in temperature or atmospheric pressure or damage to the pipette.
What are some things to ensure before you calibrate a Micropipette?

Before calibration of the Micropipette takes place, it’s essential to ensure it’s free of damage and the calibration should take place with a stable temperature and atmospheric conditions.

What should be done if a Micropipette fails Calibration?

If a Micropipette fails calibration it may be because it’s not functioning well and it may have to be replaced or repaired. To prevent this from happening again in the future, it’s important to know the cause.
